Maybe Brisbane was once a sleepy country town where the streets were empty past 9pm. Nowadays there’s plenty to on a Friday or Saturday well into the wee hours of the morning. Here are just a few ideas to get you started…we’d love to hear from you too!

- Have a Guys night out or Girls night out
- Go Tenpin Bowling
- Go Clubbing (Family and The MET are popular clubs in Brisbane)
- Drive up to Mt Coot-tha Lookout for magical views over Brisbane
- Take a night cruise down the Brisbane River on one of Brisbane's CityCat Ferries
- Go to dinner with friends at a Brisbane restaurant
- Play pool at one of the many pubs and bars in Brisbane

Got any more ideas?

The Brisbane Jazz Club in Kangaroo Point has some excellent entertainment every weekend with big band, dancing and cheap drinks, plus has the luxury of accidentally one of the best spiots to see the river at night. Just beautiful!
Check it out! It's at 1 Annie Street.

Try Jazzworx on a Friday night. Hot jazz that's so cool! They're on Exhibition St in the city.

Up Late at GOMA - I went to see Picasso Collection last Friday night as part of the Gallery of Modern Art's Up Late series and thoroughly enjoyed myself. What a great idea! The price covered exhibition entry and the band ("Topology" I think). We had a few drinks and a meal at the cafe downstairs while listening to the music and enjoying the view. It made for a very pleasant Friday night - excellent for those of us who are no longer up for all night dance parties!

GOMA - keep up the Up Late programme !
