hi
we are moving to brisbane from auckland in 2 weeks and need to rent in a nice area with young families as we have a 3 year old and a 17 month old.  Looking at paying about $500 - $550 a week .  Thought Manly looked nice, any thoughts, partner working in CBD so don't want a long commute

Good Choice - Manly's right by the water - the kids will love it! There a train station (it's about 45 minute train ride to CBD). Other suburbs to consider near Manly are Wynnum, Lota. Check out www.realestate.com.au for rental prices. You should find something half decent for your price range.
