Go card or STOP?
«

I've heard mixed reports on this new GO card from QLD transport. It's meant to be cost effective and convenient but hear some grumbling about the card (expensive, never seems to work etc). I even read recently that the cards can be 'cloned' . Before I commit, can anyone else enlighten me? I'd hate to get the GO card and find myself even MORE frustrated by the public transport system here in Brisbane (is it just me or have the trains been running late alot lately?!

I know some some people who HATE it. The card often doesn't work, they get charged the incorrect amount and it's a real struggle getting reimbursed. I would suggest waiting until all the bugs have been ironed out

Well i must say that I've been using this card for the trains and have encountered no problems over the last few weeks since I got the card. It beats standing in queus to buy tickets (and hence missing your train!) and save syou money. So far so good!

I haven't bothered with it, I get weekly tickets its no real use to me, the self serve machine needs to start spitting out, off-peak, daily, weekly and monthly tickets.
